Oil, benzine and other solvents have a damaging effect on rubber. Strong heat and direct sunshine also to be avoided.

Fagas straps has a production guarantee of 5 years but the life expectancy based on more than 60 years of production and deliverys world wide are appr. 20-30 years if the straps are used for its correct purpose and in a normal environment with a temperature between 15-25 degrees celcius.
